English Easter

I know it’s a week early but I figured we could kick off Easter season with homemade, rustic cross buns! These are traditional easter treats across the pond in England, eaten on Good Friday, and I though I’d try my hand at the rich flavored dessert.

The blend of flavors in this came out amazing, and the buns were definitely richer than expected – and very sweet. The main flavors that really stood out were the cinnamon, raisins, cloves, and of course the orange zest. We found the robust flavor profile was complemented by the soothing, wind down flavors of earl grey tea, the perfect evening snack before bed.
